Well, I’m not sure if praying to god ever helped anything, — though it’s possible it did – I don’t think I’ll do that.

But, see, I’m really worried about this test tomorrow. So, I’m going to pray to Larry. That is, Larry Wall, the creator of Perl.

I’ll make it all official:

Our Larry who art in UNIX, Wall be thy name. grant me the module to crush my enemies, the regular expression to find my match, and let me use strict to pass the impending test tomorrow.

Amen.

(If you don’t know anything about Perl, this will seem like nonsense.)

Lots of things since last I updated.

Okay, first off, since Feb or so, I’ve been corresponding with the fine people of my college’s unofficial forum, SPCForum. There’s some pretty interesting people on there, including a Douglas Adams fan!

Then there’s the science club. The college now has a science club, which I managed to get a few people interested in. One of them being camelothorse, the self-same Douglas Adams fan from the forum. Also Drew and Josh (from my astronomy class) are interested.

Next, I am apparently the Chief Science Officer in a new Startrek club… A friend from SLUG, Dave Lowe, has started a Startrek club, and somehow I managed to become the science officer… Go figure.

I could write more, but I think I have work to get done.
