So, I was listening to this fairly good, folk-ish song, sung by Rod Stewart, Wilde Mountain Thyme.

It goes:

Oh the summer time is gone And the leaves are sweetly turning And the wild mountain thyme Blooms across the purple heather Will you go, lassie. go

So, I says to myself, “Self, what’s purple heather look like?” Wouldn’t you know it? I didn’t know. So, a quick google images search, and here we are: picture of bloomin’ purple heather.

Hmm, so yes. It would be very nice to pick wild mountain thyme all among the purple heather.
